Job summary

The Salvation Army in Fort Pierce, FL seeks a Lead Social Services Worker to supervise and deliver assistance in food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial aid. You will interview clients to determine need and eligibility, compile accurate records, and connect clients with community agencies.

You will process Food Stamps, Medicaid, and ACCESS applications, maintain records, manage food pantry inventory, coordinate orders, and ensure compliance with program policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience coordinating or managing work in an office environment, preferably in Social Services.
• Valid FL driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in providing social service assistance to eligible clients in areas such as food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial aid.
• Interview clients to determine need and eligibility.
• Prepare accurate and complete client records.
• Refer clients to community agencies and maintain working relationships.

• Coordinate Food Bank orders and monthly reporting.

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMLocation: Position is located at 3629 S.
