City and County of Denver invites applications for Lead Social Case Worker on the Permanency Child Protection team. You will lead a 4-person Social Case Worker unit, participate in supervision, and guide case management, counseling, placement, and evaluation to support children in need.

Ideal candidates bring leadership experience, extensive child protection work in a county setting, and a Colorado Social Case Worker certification, along with a professional, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a county-level Child Welfare setting.
• Extensive experience with Child Protection in a county-level environment.
• Certification as a Social Case Worker from the Colorado Child Welfare Academy.
• Positive, professional, and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Social Case Workers and assist in supervision.
• Provide intensive case management, counseling, and placement services.
• Oversee intake assessments, ongoing cases, and youth cases with sound decision‑making.
• Coach, train, and mentor staff at various levels and attend voices meetings and court hearings as needed.
