Job summary

Waymo is seeking a senior hardware architect to define the architecture and microarchitecture for its next-generation autonomous vehicle SoCs. You will lead IP and subsystem implementations, including cache, NoC interconnects, and accelerators, while collaborating with firmware and software teams to drive feature closure.

Qualifications

• MS degree is required or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of ASIC/SoC digital design and microarchitecture experience.
• Proven leadership and multiple ASIC tapeouts.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and microarchitecture for next-gen AV SoCs with RTL specs.
• Lead IPs and subsystems including cache/memory hierarchies and NoC interconnects.
• Collaborate with Architects, Firmware and Software teams to close features.
• Perform power, area and performance exploration of digital designs.
• Mentor engineers and engage with external vendors to ensure timely tapeout.
