Job summary

TRIDENT SOLUTIONS in Sherman, TX is seeking a Slitting Lead to supervise the Slitting department on their shift. You will actively operate slitting and converting equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met, and you will serve as the lead when the Shift Supervisor is away.

Qualifications

• Excellent safety and attendance record.
• Fully trained Slitting Operator with process knowledge.
• Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and data entry into computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Slitting department on the shift for safety, quality, and production.
• Operate slitting/converting equipment as a team member.
• Cover for Slitting Operators during breaks as needed.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize equipment; escalate issues.
• Monitor slit width, tension, and quality; minimize scrap and downtime.
• Ensure operators perform quality checks and report results.
• Coordinate blade changes, core loading, and width adjustments.
• Mentor Slitting Operators and support training.
• Communicate priorities from Shift Supervisor to the team.
• Maintain accurate production/quality reporting and housekeeping.
