POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Site Technician in Training is an entry-level field position designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to advance into a full Lead Site Technician role. Under the direct supervision of a trainer or Lead Site Technician, this position participates in all aspects of sealing operations, site preparation, documentation, and equipment care. The individual in this role is expected to learn established procedures, demonstrate growing competence in executing sealings independently, and build the operational and professional habits required for long-term success in the field. This is a supervised developmental role with a training period of up to 6 months or 200 completed seals.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Operations & Sealing (Under Supervision)
  • Assist Field Technicians and the Lead Site Technician in preparing the job site for sealing services, including taping around operable windows, doors, air vents, light cutouts, and other penetrations as required.
  • Learn and apply established sealing techniques under trainer supervision, working toward the ability to independently execute accurate and efficient sealings.
  • Participate in final quality inspections to develop an understanding of accuracy standards before job completion.
  • Review site specifications and sealing requirements before each job, developing the habit of thorough pre-job preparation.
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment required for each job site.
  • Work toward becoming trained and certified in AeroBarrier computer systems and equipment in order to independently perform sealings on homes.
  • Remain under trainer supervision a minimum of 6 months or 400 completed seals (single family detached), after which progression to Lead Site Technician may be considered.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Learn to accurately complete and upload seal reports immediately after task completion, with all fields correctly filled and submitted to the designated system within 24 hours.
  • Maintain daily site logs documenting existing conditions before and after work, including a minimum of 5 site photographs uploaded each day.
  • Submit daily logs to the Division Manager by the end of each business day.
  • Log hours worked daily (start and end times) and submit timesheets by the designated weekly deadline.
  • Record and report mileage for each trip daily and compile a monthly mileage report for submission and reimbursement.
  • Complete daily Equipment Check and Vehicle Inspection forms.
Vehicle & Equipment Care
  • Conduct a visual inspection of the company van each morning and evening to ensure it is clean, organized, and roadworthy.
  • Follow a weekly cleaning routine for all company vehicles, including exterior washing and interior organization.
  • Assist in maintaining the vehicle maintenance log, documenting cleaning, supplies used, and any repairs needed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly job site environment throughout each engagement.
Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards
  • Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures, including the use of required protective equipment at all times.
  • Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as all company policies.
  • Actively participate in all required training and retraining programs.
  • Professionally represent the company and provide exceptional service to all clients, vendors, and business partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
