Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Site Manager to lead construction and startup on power projects from our Overland Park headquarters. You will direct the site team, manage budget and schedule, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with CPPM procedures.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role in a 100% ESOP-owned environment. Location is the World HQ in Overland Park, KS, with mobilization to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years experience on similar projects in construction management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Manager on conventional power construction projects.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).

Responsibilities

• Lead the site management team to ensure successful execution of construction and start-up.
• Direct staff in daily/weekly planning and coordinate with Owner and Contractor.
• Manage project budgets, schedule, and quality performance to meet plans.
• Implement CPPM and ensure proper deviation requests when needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
