Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Civil Engineer to support site development projects in Nashville. You will prepare design calculations and construction plans focused on grading, stormwater, and utilities, and coordinate with jurisdictions for entitlements and permits.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 5+ years in land development, and Tennessee PE eligibility within 6 months. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and turnkey site design experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of land or site development experience, with stormwater and utility design.
• Active Tennessee PE or reciprocity eligible within 6 months.
• Experience with permitting and entitlements with local jurisdictions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Turnkey site design experience (residential, multi-family, or commercial).
• Knowledge of green infrastructure and LID.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design calculations and construction plans for site development projects.
• Code, entitlements, and general due diligence research.
• Analyze survey plans, reports, and other data to inform design.
• Collaborate with state, local, and federal jurisdictions for permitting.
• Forecast and adhere to project timelines.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create designs.
• Additional related duties as needed.
