Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.

Job Description

As a Lead Silicon Software and Hardware Integration Engineer, you will head the engineering activities bridging the gap between custom silicon architectures and upper-level software stacks. You will be responsible for bringing complex SoCs (Systems-on-Chip) and ASICs to life. This high-impact leadership role spans the entire product lifecycle-from pre-silicon planning to physical silicon bring-up, firmware integration, and system-level debugging. You will serve as the primary technical interface connecting hardware designers, silicon architects, and software engineering teams.

  • Hardware Bring-up: Oversee and lead the initial power-on and initialization of newly manufactured chips in the lab.

  • Integrate HW/FW: Drive the strategy to integrate hardware and firmware directly on the physical silicon for cohesive system behavior.

  • Design & Build Boards: Direct the design and construction of test boards for silicon bring-up and hardware/software integration.

  • Cross-Functional Debug: Partner with architects, hardware designers, and software engineering teams to root-cause complex failures and performance bottlenecks.
