Job summary

YESCO is seeking a Service Journeyman in Albuquerque, NM to lead service operations for electrical sign and lighting systems. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, and mentor apprentices, ensuring safety and quality.

Expect to coordinate service calls, operate lift equipment, and work outdoors at heights with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. CDL and five years of electrical sign experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Medical card or ability to obtain one if requested.
• Minimum of five years in electrical sign and lighting service.
• Completion of an approved electrical sign service training or equivalent program.
• Strong electrical and lighting aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review service orders and documentation from customers.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, sign, and lighting equipment.
• Operate lift equipment to access sign and lighting displays.
• Train and mentor apprentices and new service employees.
• Manage service documentation and ensure accurate work orders.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain service vehicles and inventory levels.
• Assist in emergency service calls when required.
• Perform preventative maintenance on signage and service equipment.
