Job summary

Schaefer Plastics in Charlotte, NC is seeking a hands-on Shipping Lead to oversee daily shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will supervise a team, ensure on-time loading, accuracy of shipments, and maintain safe, organized work areas.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of shipping or warehouse leadership, experience with ERP or warehouse systems, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Three years of shipping, warehouse, or distribution leadership experience.
Experience leading employees in a fast-paced operation.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or related degree a plus.
Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP or warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily activities of the shipping and receiving team.
Coordinate staffing and workflow to meet shipping schedules and customer commitments.
Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments and required documentation.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
Identify process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain safe, clean, and orderly shipping areas.
