Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Lead Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for our Ogden, Utah facility. This onsite role oversees material movement, coordinates freight, and partners with Purchasing to schedule loads and issue purchase orders.

You will mentor S/R staff, develop training materials, and drive Lean initiatives to boost safety, accuracy, and throughput. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 3+ years of logistics experience are required, with the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a business environment; two or more years of logistics, materials management, or supply chain experience preferred.
• Education requirements – High school diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Related certification(s) or college preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to obtain a Hi‑Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license.
• Current JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee movement of materials into, within, and out of the facility to ensure timely material flow.
• Coordinate truckload freight arrangements by developing freight requirements, requesting quotes from approved carriers, analyzing carrier proposals, and scheduling loads.
• Partner with Purchasing to create and manage freight-related purchase orders.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to S/R Specialists and other Leads on job responsibilities and best practices.
• Mentor logistics team members while modeling professional behavior and teamwork.
• Participate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, accuracy, and throughput.
• Serve as SME in international shipping, truckload freight, Ops Manager, Job Track, and Baan.
