Job summary

Albaugh LLC in Missouri seeks a lead packaging operator to run the daily packaging line, supervise a shift, and ensure orders are prepared accurately and safely for shipment.

Reporting to the department supervisor, you will operate equipment, monitor processes, maintain safety and housekeeping, and support continuous operation with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work overtime to support continuous operation.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control equipment in the manufacturing unit.
• Maintain and monitor process equipment.
• Uphold safety standards and housekeeping.
• Receive and process raw materials to produce finished products.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations on the packaging line.
• Coordinate assignments to ensure smooth operation.

Job description

TheLead, Pick and Pull operator role performs order picking according to specifications. Prepares product for shipment.

Reporting to the department supervisor, the packaging lead will:

• Safely and effectively operates and controls equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit.


• Maintains and monitors process equipment in accordance with established procedures and processes.


• Maintains and improves safety in the unit and is responsible for housekeeping in operating areas.


• Receives and processes raw materials using chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level.


• Supports and adheres to the principles of Responsible care and applicable requirements by protecting the environment and assuring the health, safety, and security of our employees, vendors, customers, suppliers, and our community.


• Performs additional work as assigned by the supervisor or manager


• Leading the day to day shift operations of the packaging line in a professional and organized manner; leading, directing and coordinating assignments and activities of assigned employees to ensure the smooth operation of the process.

The Qualifications

The right candidate will be a safety-focused, motivated individual who can work both independently and as a team. Your qualifications ideally include:

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation as needed to meet business obligations.


• Strong commitment to safety


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Manufacturing experience is preferable

Preferred Experience

• Forklift experience preferred or willing to be trained for certification


• Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial facility, formulations and/or packaging.
