Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in shipyard design or large-scale ship construction.
  • Alternative: High School diploma with 8 years of equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience identifying design and production work sequence conflicts.
  • Strong knowledge of shipbuilding specifications (ABS, Mil, API, etc.).
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ship production processes, build strategies, and milestone tracking.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical and operational execution of assigned projects.
  • Develop project requirements, coordinating with engineering resources, and monitoring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Resolve design, material, and planning issues and liaise with cross-functional departments.
  • Ensure that all necessary technical reviews and approvals are obtained and regulatory requirements are met.
