Job summary

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. is hiring a skilled welder for shipboard HM&E systems in a fast-paced environment. You will fabricate, install, and repair pipes, valves, and fixtures, interpreting NAVSEA drawings and standards to ensure quality welds.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of ship repair experience, SECRET clearance eligibility, and the ability to travel as needed. This position offers competitive wages and opportunities for growth within a defense-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school, trade or vocational degree required.
• 10+ years direct experience in ship repair and HM&E installation.
• Ability to read ship installation drawings and NAVSEA standards is a plus.
• Must obtain SECRET clearance or have ability to do so.
• Travel may be required; US citizenship required due to export controls.

Responsibilities

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and weldable material using appropriate welding techniques.
• Perform welding processes to repair/install pipes, structures, foundations and fittings for shipboard systems.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for welding processes.
• Select fillers, joint designs, heat ranges and procedures to ensure quality welding.
• Inspect welds for structural soundness per NAVSEA, ABS & AWS standards.
• Install or repair equipment such as pipes, valves, and tanks; work in various positions.
• Lead technical project teams, supervise scheduling and provide updates to customers or leadership.
