Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division seeks an experienced welding supervisor to support shipboard C4ISR installations across global shipyards, with assignments in Chesapeake, VA; San Diego, CA; Norfolk, VA and beyond.

The role requires 3–4 years welding experience, ASNT NDT Level III, and a willingness to travel to customer sites. You will read drawings, weld in all positions, supervise teams, and ensure safety and quality in demanding environments aboard ships and submarines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–4 years of welding experience in relevant settings.
• ASNT NDT Level III certification is required.
• AWS welding supervisor/inspector or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specifications and drawings for shipboard installations.
• Weld parts in all positions using ARC or gas welding; fabricate/repair components.
• Perform thermal cutting and grinding; repair broken parts and assemblies.
• Provide supervisory leadership to welding teams on site.
