Northeast Maritime Institute Inc. seeks a Shipyard Design Manager to lead engineering teams from concept to delivery on new builds and repairs.

You will coordinate with design, production, and clients, manage drawings and 3D models, and guide technical solutions while ensuring regulatory and client requirements are met. The role requires 5–10+ years in ship design, Naval Architecture expertise, and proficiency with AutoCAD and ShipConstructor.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (naval architecture or marine-related).
• 5–10+ years leading ship design/yard engineering with broad naval knowledge.
• Deep understanding of ship systems, structures, propulsion, electrical, and mission systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and ShipConstructor; strong MS Office and EDMS skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and review all design drawings for new builds and repairs (GA, midship, outfitting).
• Own the technical solution and coordinate with project managers and production.
• Identify and report technical risks; drive QC and process instructions.
• Ensure compliance with ABS, DNV, SOLAS, and client specs; manage documentation.
• Coordinate design reviews, client presentations, and deliverable tracking.
