Job summary

GSP Retail is hiring a Supervisor for the Sewing Department in a high-volume production facility. You will oversee a team of Sewing Machine Operators, run machines, ensure quality, and manage workflow from start to finish to meet deadlines.

We will teach you to run the machines and maintain diligent processes while upholding safety and efficiency standards across all sewing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in production environment.
• Preferred prior sewing/textile industry experience; training available for the right candidate.
• Oral and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize workflow to meet customer ship deadlines.
• Supervise production output of sewing team.
• Coordinate with other departments on workflow.
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of all work.
• Assure product quality before packaging and shipping.
• Operate and monitor commercial sewing machines.
• Select seam styles per order specifications.
• Align fabrics and components accurately.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and re-threading.
