Job summary

You will work closely with the production designer and art director, manage budgets, source materials, hire carpenters, and enforce on-set safety protocols to deliver high-quality builds.

Qualifications

• Experience in set construction for film/TV preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the fabrication of sets, ensuring they meet design specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the production designer and art director to bring creative visions to life.
• Develop and manage budgets for set construction, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Order and procure all necessary materials for set designs, coordinating delivery and inventory.
• Assess the skill sets needed for specific projects and hire carpenters and other builders as required.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment on set.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any construction-related issues that may arise during production.
