Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced lead technician to oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services. This role is responsible for managing service technicians, maintaining customer satisfaction, ensuring safety compliance, and achieving department financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the daily activities of the department under the direction of the Operations Manager
• Display extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered
• Recruit, train and mentor service technicians and service support staff; promote a culture of safety, accountability and customer-first service.
• Coordinate work order schedules and priorities with service technicians
• Work in the field independently and with other technicians
• Ensure technicians follow our standard procedures and policies
• Monitor department issues and client complaints to drive constant improvement
• Follow up with customers regarding maintenance satisfaction as well as auditing work being done to ensure all standards are being met and maintenance work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly
• Promote exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by upselling products and services and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally
• Assist with or perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in HVAC service management or related leadership role
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in service management software and scheduling systems.
• Passage of a background check and submission to a Drug-free Workplace program
• Clear and professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in English (bilingual is a plus) and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
