Job summary

Whaley Foodservice in Springfield, VA is hiring a Service Technician II to maintain and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, and freezers. Diagnosing and fixing units and communicating with customers is a core part of the job.

The role also involves completing service calls on time, auditing truck stock, and keeping the vehicle and tools in good condition.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration units.
• Communicate status updates for parts ordering and repairs with branch support and customers.
• Complete service calls accurately and on time.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are available.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to company safety standards.
• Meet on‑call requirements.

$31.00-39.00/hour (plus on‑call and sign‑on bonus)

Summary

• Journeyman license and/or CFESA certification a plus.

• Good driving record.
