Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

Details:

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for parts and repairs with branch support and customers.
• Completes service calls accurately and promptly.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are available.
• Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience:

• At least three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screening is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets safety standards.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical backgrounds are a plus.
• Journeyman License and/or CFESA certification are preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good driving record.
