Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is a leading commercial kitchen equipment repair provider with a broad network across the Southeast. The Service Technician II conducts maintenance, service, and repair of grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, coolers, and related equipment.

Role requires 3 years of hands-on experience, a clean driving record, and ability to work independently; benefits include medical/dental, 401k, and paid holidays. Training and certification support available.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration
• Must be 18 years of age
• Background check and drug screen required
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting safety standards

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for parts and repairs with branch and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet Whaley safety standards.
• Meets on-call requirements

Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

Details

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercialcookingkitchenequipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms are consistent with Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
