Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Springfield, MO seeks a Lead Dining Room Server to provide high-quality dining service to residents and mentor team members. This full-time role covers day, evening, and weekend shifts, with opportunities to lead pre-shift briefings and maintain food safety standards.

You will train new hires, assist with special meals, and ensure resident satisfaction while upholding company guidelines and a respectful, patient approach in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in food service.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Lead pre-shift meetings for the team to discuss relevant info related to the day’s shift.
• Act as point of contact for resident dining experience concerns, resolve minor service issues, and handle complex orders.
• Train and mentor new team members, following the training plan and ensure new hire is successfully onboarded to position.
• Support dining staff with special meal requirements or events.
• Act as a role model in communication, appearance, and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Record cooler, freezer and dish machine temperatures in the TELS website.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Overview

This lead position provides excellent dining service to residents and assists with training and mentoring other team members. As lead, this position performs all Dining Room Server duties at a high level of consistency and quality.
