Jackson Creek Senior Living in Coralville, IA is seeking a Lead Server to manage dining operations for residents during 11:00am-7:00pm shifts and every other weekend. The role emphasizes serving meals, training teammates, and handling complex orders with a focus on resident satisfaction.

You will lead pre-shift meetings, ensure food safety standards, and act as a role model for professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and proper record-keeping of temperatures and shift activities.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience in food service.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership skills or mentoring experience.
• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations.
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down.

Responsabilidades

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Lead pre-shift meetings for the team to discuss relevant info related to the day’s shift.
• Act as point of contact for resident dining experience concerns, resolve minor service issues, and handle complex orders.
• Train and mentor new team members, following the training plan and ensure new hire is successfully onboarded to position.
• Support dining staff with special meal requirements or events.
• Act as a role model in communication, appearance, and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Record cooler, freezer and dish machine temperatures in the TELS website.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Overview

This lead position provides excellent dining service to residents and assists with training and mentoring other team members. As lead, this position performs all Dining Room Server duties at a high level of consistency and quality.
