Job summary

Pavion Corp in Chantilly, VA, seeks a skilled Technician to join our integration team, installing headend equipment and field devices for Nurse Call, RTLS, Fire Alarm and Security systems.

You will coordinate with contractors, review blueprints, update documentation, and supervise Installers, ensuring projects meet CTSI standards, safety rules, and local codes. This role requires strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in the security alarm industry.
  • Driver's license with clean driving record.
  • C-Cure Security Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Install headend equipment and field devices for Nurse Call, RTLS, Fire Alarm and Security systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee contracted work with contractors and ensure CTSI standards.
  • Analyze blueprints and schematics to plan efficient installations.
  • Inform Project Manager on procedures and status of work orders.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of Installers and ensure code compliance.
  • Maintain documentation and update Time Web and daily worksheets.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and area is cleaned daily.

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Technician to join our integration business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Install headend equipment, all field devices for a variety of Nurse Call, RTLS, Fire Alarm and Security systems. Install cable as well as testing connectors, labeling and firestop. Assure that the equipment provides the service requested by the customer, ensuring the documentation and database is updated
  • Coordinate and oversee contracted work with the contractor, provide specific instructions and help on projects, inspecting completed work for acceptance and compliance with CTSI standards, and ensuring that the network documentation is updated
  • Analyze and layout blueprints, schematics, and drawings of CTSI systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems
  • Inform Project Manager regarding procedures and status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and complying with company policies and building codes
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the Installers. Ensures that projects are completed within local, state, federal codes, regulations and specifications
  • Participate in approved job-related training and development programs. Participates in equipment training and receives certification, and operates equipment as needed
  • Maintains assigned vehicles and equipment are in excellent condition. Ensures availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and repair
  • Use existing site certifications to track, document, and resolve technical problems
  • Ensure safety procedures are always followed
  • Updates & maintains documentation (Time Web, daily worksheets & all other paperwork)
  • Establish effective working relationships with those contacted during work, and communicate clearly, and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines and works effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ensure quality control for assigned task
  • Clean up work area daily
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years' experience within the security alarm industry
  • Driver's license with clean driving record
  • C-Cure Security Certification

The hourly pay range for this position is $30-42 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
