JOB TITLE: Flex Lobby Concierge Officer

PURPOSE: Sunstates Security seeks an experienced customer service security professional to serve as the Lead Security Officer at a prestigious client in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The chosen candidate will work Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm. The ideal Lead Officer will have experience in physical security best practices, excellent customer service, and a background in training new security officers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

Assist the site manager with contract physical security operations in the Raleigh location.

Help lead the lobby security officer team in providing top-notch customer service.

Take a lead role in new officer on-site training.

Act as the emergency response team leader for on-site emergencies.

Assist the site manager to develop a team of security professionals to deliver best-in-class security services.

Assist the site manager in identifying deficiencies and developing solutions to adjust training to close those deficiencies.

Experience Background

Must possess a high school diploma with ONE or more of the following:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of verifiable and successful experience in physical security in a corporate setting.

- Comparable background in law enforcement, private security, or military.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

- Proven physical security experience with access control best practices is preferred.

- Experience in training concierge-level security officers and customer service best practices.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Dependability, flexibility, adaptability to new assignments, and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams are essential.

- Self-motivation, proactiveness, and attention to detail are crucial to providing high-level client customer service.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs), Windows 11, Android, iOS, or similar software is required.

Requirements

- Be at least 18 years old, or the minimum age required by the state.

- Be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

- Undergo a pre-employment drug test and extensive background check.

- Provide a discharge document with discharge status if you have prior military service.

Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected.

Significant activity: Frequent periods of standing and/or walking for extended amounts of time.

Education Requirements (Any): High School diploma or equivalent.
