Job summary

Middleton Place in San Diego, CA is seeking a Lead Security Officer to oversee daily security operations across client sites and ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.

You will partner with the Director to manage scheduling, staff development, client relationships and site compliance, leading by example and delivering outstanding customer service. This hands-on leadership role requires flexibility for evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Lead Security Officer is responsible for leading daily security operations across assigned client sites while ensuring exceptional service, operational efficiency, and team performance. This role partners closely with the Director to oversee scheduling, personnel development, client relationships, and site compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, communicates effectively, develops high-performing officers, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires flexibility, including the ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• The Lead will be responsible for the overall quality of service to assigned accounts/clients.
• Developing officers for success to impact Client service quality, i.e., training, scheduling, site instructions, oversight, coaching, and communication, etc.
• Works to continuously improve the processes, quality of service, and operational efficiency.
• Ensures that all shifts are filled
• Daily review of activity and incident reports, communicating needs accordingly between guards and upper management.
• Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and condition of all Franchise equipment.
• Notifies Director of issues in the field, or internally, for timely leadership follow up.
• Monitors company policies, procedures through spot checks and inspections. Issues disciplinary action in accordance with the employee handbook.
• Responsible for fostering a positive working environment through feedback and recognition programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Vaid California Guard Card
