Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Security Engineer with BISO in Minnesota. You will design, build, and scale security solutions, defining requirements and mitigating risk across diverse business lines. The role requires mentoring teammates and collaborating with engineering and product teams to ensure secure-by-default systems.

Hybrid work arrangement; onsite at Target MN location and virtual as needed. Strong communication with executives and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field; or related experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in information security domains.
• Experience defining security requirements, managing findings, and mitigating risk across dozens of business lines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale security solutions across Target technologies.
• Define security requirements, assess risk and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor team members in security concepts and best practices.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to enforce security by design.
