Our client, a leading organization in the finance and legal sector, is seeking a Counsel to join their team. As a Counsel, you will be part of the legal department supporting various finance and communications professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Counsel

Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site)

What's the Job?

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on SEC filings and public company matters.
  • Draft and review SEC disclosures, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and proxy statements.
  • Support disclosure controls and procedures in connection with SEC filings.
  • Represent the organization in dealings with external counsel and regulators.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and manage outside counsel as needed.


What's Needed?

  • J.D. and current Bar membership is required.
  • 3-5 years of legal experience in securities and public company matters.
  • Strong understanding of public company, securities law, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex assignments with minimal supervision.
