Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist to advance parenteral biologics across modalities. The role involves leading experimental designs, data analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to drive robust formulations and scalable manufacturing processes.

The candidate will guide early and late-stage programs, support regulatory filings, and mentor scientists while influencing strategic objectives and continued scientific innovation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree with minimum 4 years relevant industry experience.
• B.S. or M.S. degree with minimum 8 years relevant industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute towards innovative biologics sterile product development through experimental design and data analysis.
• Support early and late-stage development candidates, including formulation development and regulatory filings.
• Build deep fundamental knowledge of the drug product to meet milestones and regulatory documentation.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership on program development teams and interface with stakeholders.
• Lead organizational strategic and innovation objectives aligned with goals.
• Mentor scientists and drive initiative and broad technical impact.
• Oversee tech transfers and external manufacturing site activities.
• Advance science and technology development and process innovations.
