Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a leader to define the technical direction for new diagnostic products across immunoassay and molecular technologies.

You will guide scientists, manage cross-functional projects, and ensure transfer to manufacturing in a regulated environment. The role emphasizes leadership, technical depth, budget oversight, and collaboration with Marketing and other stakeholders to translate customer needs into product requirements.

Qualifications

• PhD in life sciences or related field.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience with recognized expertise.
• Hands-on expertise in diagnostic assay development across immunoassay and molecular technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for new diagnostics and lead scientists to develop them through feasibility, assay system and platform selection, and transfer to scale-up.
• Draft product requirements with Marketing and drive project-management activities to produce working prototypes.
• Act as an independent technical lead on cross-disciplinary projects and lead teams across functions.
