Job summary

Ourvita is seeking a Scientist II in Largo, Florida, to develop innovative product formulations and lead a team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science and at least 5 years of product development experience in dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities include developing new formulations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and mentoring junior scientists. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science.
• 5 years experience in product development within dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals.
• Experience with powders or solid dosage forms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product formulations and improve existing ones.
• Utilize technology for new product ideas.
• Mentors and develops Scientists and Technicians.
• Leads analytical testing coordination.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards.

Skills

Knowledge of scientific development principles and language

Knowledge of CFR Title 21, Part 111 and 101 regulations

Solid knowledge of GMPs and FDA regulations

Ability to think creatively using new technology

Strong attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or related science

5 years of experience in product development

3 years development experience with powders or solid dosage forms
