Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking a Principal Scientist to lead formulation development from bench to GMP manufacturing for clinical assets. The role requires directing CMC teams, guiding technology strategy, and driving robust processes for suspensions, solutions, capsules and tablets.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in drug delivery and formulation science, manage external manufacturing collaborations, and mentor staff to advance pipeline programs within a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with 8+ years of industry experience.
• MS in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with 10+ years of industry experience.
• BS in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with 14+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new drug delivery approaches and experimental designs for pipeline programs.
• Mentor technical staff and support cross-functional project execution.
• Lead due diligence of pipeline assets and represent PSCS on cross-functional teams.
