Chicago Commons is seeking a Lead Teacher to foster a nurturing classroom environment for children. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and the ability to create dynamic learning experiences.
Responsibilities include developing and leading educational activities, supervising children's interactions, and training classroom staff. The position is based in Chicago and focuses on the Reggio-Inspired approach to learning, enhancing children's critical thinking and creativity.

The lead teacher is responsible for developing a classroom atmosphere where children can grow and develop in a safe and positive learning space. Candidates must have a passion for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to receive a quality education, and the ability to lead the classroom team.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to read and write English proficiently.

The employee must regularly operate a word-processing system and therefore must be able to read, produce and transmit data on such a system. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range.
