Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker for a school food service program in the Piscataway, NJ area. The role is Monday through Friday, day shift with no weekends or holidays; summers off.

You will lead a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment, train staff as needed, and may travel within the district. Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in NJ schools.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service within a school setting is required.
• Experience following NSLP guidelines preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and food handling procedures required.
• Experience enforcing PPE usage at all times.
• Inventory management and ordering responsibilities.
• Experience operating POS/cash registers is a plus.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
