About the Role

You will own integrated scheduling across multiple concurrent capital projects, from engineering through commissioning and closeout. This is a senior, visible role. You will work directly with executive leadership, project management, engineering, procurement, and construction, and your schedule analysis will shape how projects are planned, recovered, and delivered.

What You Will Do
  • Build and maintain integrated master schedules for several large projects at once
  • Set the scheduling strategy and standards using Primavera P6
  • Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules to support forecasting and cash flow planning
  • Run critical path, float, earned value, and variance analyses, and turn the results into clear recommendations
  • Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for logic, sequencing, resource loading, and contract compliance, then integrate them into the master schedule
  • Identify delays, interface conflicts, and execution risks early, and propose recovery plans
  • Present schedule health, forecasts, and milestone status to senior leadership
  • Build dashboards and executive reporting
  • Mentor junior schedulers and project controls staff
  • Support change management, time impact analysis, and claims documentation as needed
  • Contribute to constructability reviews, execution planning, and risk workshops
What You Bring
  • 8 to 12 years of scheduling or project controls experience on large industrial, energy, EPC, oil and gas, power generation, or heavy construction projects
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills (required)
  • Experience on projects of roughly $500M+ total installed cost
  • Owner or owner-operator experience is a strong plus
  • Solid grounding in CPM, schedule integration, earned value, and forecasting
  • Experience across the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand construction sequencing and commissioning plans
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
Preferred
  • Midstream, downstream, or power generation background (data center experience is a plus)
  • PMP or PSP certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Acumen Fuse, Primavera Cloud, or Power BI
  • Working knowledge of cost control, estimating, and EPC contractor management
Work Arrangement
  • Based in Houston, TX. This role is on-site in the office five days a week.
