Job summary

Six Flags Corp seeks a Scenic and Décor Supervisor to drive park-wide décor installations, live show scenery, and seasonal experiences in concert with Creative Services. This leadership role oversees Scenic Leads and reports to Entertainment management, with a 30–39 hour schedule and benefits.

You will develop schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate internal and external teams to ensure creative submissions align with resources, timelines, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Design, Art, or Theatre.
• Experience with Haunted Houses including design, safety, permitting, and technology.
• Experience with large theatrical set builds.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the master project schedule for scenic and décor elements.
• Provide two-week progress projections and ensure milestones; manage asset inventory.
• Review design submissions with the Entertainment Manager and approve or edit.
• Identify and manage risks; take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate internal and external resources from design through production and installation.
• Develop scopes of work; manage sourcing, staffing and implementation.
• Negotiate and procure outside resources to stay on budget and schedule.
• Ensure all safety regulations are met.
• Draft third-party vendor agreements and ensure invoicing.
• Issue design installation packages, schedules, budgets, and agendas.
• Lead project meetings and drive to a consensus on goals.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action items, deadlines, and owners.
• Provide weekly status reports on schedule, budget, and project.
• Interpret conceptual artwork for real-world application with attention to detail.
