Overview of the Lead, Sales (Key Holder) Role

You will inspire customers to express themselves in their homes and bring the brand to life by helping them discover products that suit their entertaining style. Your goal is to drive sales through meaningful connections and creating lasting relationships with customers.

  • Create engaging customer experiences by sharing expertise on home enhancement
  • Support management daily by performing opening/closing routines, register functions, and back-office procedures
  • Supervise store operations to meet financial goals and ensure associates deliver world-class service
  • Maintain visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back-of-house standards during manage-on-duty shifts
  • Perform the Selling Captain role, serving as a sales and customer service role model
  • Foster a fair, respectful environment aligned with our People First Philosophy
Criteria
  • Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and influence others through personal action
  • 1-3 years retail sales experience; shift supervision experience preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in home design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred (specialty retail experience is a plus but not required)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques
  • Full-time associates should have open availability to meet business needs
  • Part-time associates must be available for at least 15 hours weekly, including weekends and holidays, with specific scheduling requirements
