Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and cashier operations.
• Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Adherence to safety and security policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and follow store receiving procedures.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, total purchases and make change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; bail cardboard and manage trash.
• Open/close store under supervision and assist in cash handling accountability.
• Support in plan-o-gram implementation and merchandising updates.
• Provide superior customer service and protect company assets.
