Dollar General Corporation is hiring a Cashier/Stocker with lead responsibilities in the absence of store management. You will unload trucks, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist customers while protecting assets.

The role requires the ability to manage cash and operate registers, with a focus on accuracy, cleanliness, and safety. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and some supervisory or related experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase; bag merchandise.
• Maintain register countertops and bags; implement register countertop plan-o-grams.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of the Area Manager; authorize refunds and overrides.
• Monitor cash levels and maintain cashier accountability and security practices.
• Keep store clean and organized; set up displays and ensure a safe environment.
