GENERAL SUMMARY:

Serve as a Cashier and/or Stocker, acting in a lead capacity during the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Assist with plan-o-grams, provide excellent customer service, and perform other duties to maximize profitability and safety.

DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Unload trucks following prescribed processes.
  2. Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
  3. Stock, rotate, face merchandise, and build displays.
  4. Restock returned merchandise.
  5. Follow ordering practices for zones and drop shipments.
  6. Assist with plan-o-gram implementation.
  7. Help customers locate merchandise.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store environment.
  9. Greet customers and operate cash register functions.
  10. Collect payments, give change, and bag merchandise.
  11. Assist with store setup and cleanliness.
  12. Provide leadership in customer service and follow company policies.
  13. In absence of managers, handle refunds, overrides, cash counts, deposits, and security practices.
Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic math skills and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and perform safety and security practices.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow plan-o-grams.

Work Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with six months of supervisory or related experience.
