Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of store management. You will assist in plan-ograms, provide superior customer service, stock merchandise, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, organized store while protecting assets.

The role requires basic math, cash handling knowledge, and strong teamwork to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and loss prevention. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must perform basic math operations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control.
• Experience with IBM cash registers.
• Familiar with cash, facility and safety policies.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication.
• Understanding of safety policies.
• Ability to read plan-ogram and merchandise guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage displays.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Keep store clean and safe for customers and staff.
• Open or close the store under direction.
