Job description

The Lead Sales Associate maintains a clean, organized store with a customer-first approach. Key responsibilities include assisting customers, operating cash registers, stocking merchandise, cleaning, and supporting store profitability while safeguarding assets. They perform duties of a Sales Associate and act as a leader in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Primary Duties:

• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers
• Operate cash registers, process transactions, and aid with merchandise
• Stock, restock, and rotate inventory per company guidelines
• Maintain store cleanliness and set up displays
• Follow planograms and assist with opening/closing store operations
• Perform tasks typically handled by management in their absence

Qualifications & Skills:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of safety policies and merchandise presentation
• Basic math skills and cash handling proficiency
• Ability to drive for bank deposits and perform store duties safely

Experience & Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with six months of supervisory or related experience.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds
• Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and dollies
• Fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather and moderate noise
• Occasional driving for bank deposits and store visits
