Job summary

Role Overview:

The Lead Sales Associate supports store operations with a customer-focused approach. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, operating cash registers, stocking and organizing merchandise, cleaning the store, and assisting in store setup and maintenance activities. They act in a leadership capacity during the absence of store management, helping to ensure store profitability and asset protection.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and manage merchandise bagging.
• Stock, restock, and rotate products according to planograms; build displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including trash removal, floor cleaning, and restroom sanitation.
• Support store opening and closing procedures under management guidance.
• Perform duties similar to store management when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety policies, cash handling, and merchandise presentation.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate a cash register.
• Understanding of store safety and security practices.

Experience & Conditions:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with some supervisory or related experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 40-55 pounds, and perform physical tasks frequently.
• Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment and occasional outdoor conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation for banking and store duties.
