Job summary

Animal ONE has an opening for a Supervising Registered Veterinary Technician (Supervising RVT) in Folsom, CA. This full-time role leads the veterinary technician unit, recruits and trains staff, and covers RVT duties as needed while supporting patient care quality and clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician in the State of California.
• At least five years as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
• Supervising RVT and/or Lead RVT experience desirable.
• Ability to collect and analyze data and information, create findings and recommendations, and document data, analysis, and findings/recommendations in reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with PIMS (Provet Cloud) and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the veterinary technician unit and staff.
• Perform RVT duties and cover staff absences as needed (~50% of time).
• Develop and deliver staff onboarding, training, and competency assessments.
• Oversee inventory management and vendor coordination for supplies.
• Create and manage technician work schedules; ensure SOP adherence.
• Coordinate recruitment, hiring, promotion, and performance processes.
• Mentor staff in patient care, teamwork, and client communication.
