Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist for night shifts to provide expert patient care and lead RT protocols. The role supports a Level 2 Trauma Center with 427 beds and a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional growth.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience, Georgia licensure, and NBRC registration, with BCLS/ACLS current. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy.
• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences or equivalent.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed by the State of Georgia with current BCLS/ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for over 25,000 patients yearly.
• Support 427 beds and Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Operate in 32 adult ICU beds and 12 CICU beds.
• Work with NICU-RRTs and pediatric care; follow RT protocols.

Your Role as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

As an RRT at Piedmont Athens, you’ll play a pivotal role in:

• Patient care for over 25,000 patients yearly
• 427Â beds
• Level 2 Trauma Center
• 32Â adult ICU beds
• 12 adult CICU bedsÂ
• Level 3 Neonatal ICU (NICU-RRTs)
• Pediatric care
• RTÂ Procedure and protocols driven

Qualifications:

Minimum Experience, Licensure and Certification required:

• 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe. RequiredAssociates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
• Previous working experience or clinical rotations
• Great communication skills
