Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) in the Greater Milwaukee area seeks a senior robotic systems integrator to own turnkey robotic cell projects from design through on-site commissioning at client facilities worldwide. You will work with Fanuc, ABB, and Yaskawa platforms to ensure seamless integration across electrical, mechanical, and vision subsystems.

This role requires 4–6 years of robotics and PLC experience, plus hands-on CAD/SolidWorks and vision-system expertise.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year engineering degree required (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Software).
• 4–6 years of industrial robotics and PLC integration experience on custom manufacturing machinery.
• Hands-on mastery of Fanuc, Yaskawa, or ABB robot platforms and PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with industrial vision systems, offline simulation tools, and CAD/SolidWorks.
• Travel up to 40% domestically and internationally; valid driver's license and passport.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
• Must reside within 45 minutes of the Greater Milwaukee area.

Responsibilities

• Execute ground-up robotic cell setups and calibration on Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa platforms.
• Program cell control logic and ensure handshaking with master PLCs and equipment.
• Integrate vision hardware/software for part guidance, inspection, and high-speed handling.
• Collaborate with project engineering through shop-floor assembly and EOAT integration.
• Travel 30–40% domestically and internationally for on-site startup and commissioning.
• Provide cycle-time analyses and feasibility data for applications engineering and quoting.
• Mentor in-house assembly personnel on build workflows and client specs.
