Job summary

Impact Recruitment Ltd in the Duluth, MN area seeks an Automated Weld Cell Programmer & Integration Lead to own robotic weld cell programming and integration across shifts. You will develop paths, validate with offline simulation, and ensure weld quality from blueprint to production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of robotic welding programming in heavy structural fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with Yaskawa / YRC1000 pendant programming and offline CAD/CAM (MotoSim, Robotmaster).
• Strong understanding of multi-pass MIG welding, wire-feed dynamics, and structural welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Program, edit, and proof welds using Yaskawa controllers and offline simulation tools.
• Fine-tune weld paths, torch angles, speeds and weave parameters for repeatable welds.
• Troubleshoot and integrate weld cells across automation lines.
• Perform preventative diagnostics to keep cells running smoothly.
• Inspect weld quality against prints, symbols and GD&T specs.
• Mentor operators on automated cell operation and error recovery.
• Collaborate with vendors and engineering on software updates and efficiency.
