Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Professional Engineer for Roadway in Pleasant Grove, UT. The role leads roadway design across freeways, interchanges, and rural/urban roadways, taking ownership from initiation to project completion.

The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure technical quality, meet schedules, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders. A PE license and 5–10 years of roadway experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• 5-10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails.
• Prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects.
• Work under the direction of a Project Manager to lead the roadway design discipline and coordinate other design disciplines on projects.
• Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub consultant management.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, with attention to quality, budget and schedule.
• Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success.
