Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR Certification.
• State licensure requirements must be met and no disciplinary action on license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances by staff; reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment and notifies when needs arise.
• Assists in written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of residents' nursing needs.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend outside training and schedules times as appropriate.

Education
